For medium-voltage cables found in wind farms, the manufacturing industry, or in commercial buildings, it is extremely important that they are installed in a short-circuit-proof manner. If a short circuit were to occur, extreme electromagnetic forces could be generated, which could cause unsecure cables to suddenly jerk or even tear free from their anchorings. This could cause serious damage to the system, as well as be life threatening.

HELUKABEL has a wide range of cable clamps in its portfolio that are specially designed to prevent this from occuring. They have been specifically developed for the installation of single or multi-core power cables and medium and high-voltage cables, and, depending on the construction, they provide short-circuit resistance up to 30,000 N. These cables are resistant to short-circuit currents up to 200 kA, as well as resistant to oils and greases, aggressive chemicals, ozone, salts, acids, nuclear radiation, and frost, thus ensuring that cable and wire installations are durable, secure, and compliant with the international safety standards of IEC 61914 & UL.
